In a recent remodel of their Williamsburg, Brooklyn, townhouse, owners Celia and Rudolphe were forced to go all-in before they were ready (read the story here). The petite top floor guest bedroom features the original floors (one of the few elements left behind) and budget-minded decor that doesn’t look budget. Here’s how they put it all together.

Walls

Above: The walls throughout the house are painted in Benjamin Moore’s Decorator’s White. It’s a favorite among architects. See 10 Easy Pieces: Architects’ White Paint Picks for more.

Floors

Above: The floorboards are original but needed finishing. Celia painted them in the grayish-white Benjamin Moore Paper White.

Lighting

Above: The Round Bamboo Pendant Light is from Couleur Locale; €139.

Furniture

Above: The dresser pictured in the guest room is an old Ikea design (no longer available). For a similar dark-finished dresser with a more modern look, the Malm 6-Dresser Chest is $179 at Ikea.
Above: The owners sourced the daybed from Anthropologie. It’s the Pari Rattan Daybed inspired by British colonial furniture; $998.

Windows & Walls

Above: The brass curtain rod is the Estate Extension Brass Rod ($69 to $129) paired with the Estate C-Loop Ring Bracket($35 to $45) and Estate Drapery Rings ($49 to $55 for a set of seven) at Restoration Hardware.
Above: The Belgian Heavyweight Textured Linen Drapery with Rod Pocket in Natural starts at $269 per panel from Restoration Hardware.
Above: The couple bought the Calder print on a trip to the Maeght Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence, France. You can find the Calder Stabiles Framed Print for $250 at the MoMA Design Shop or a vintage version on 1st Dibs.

Soft Wear

Above: The small color-blocked throw pillow on the bed is from Brooklyn-based French designer Corinne Gilbert. For something similar, the handcrafted Jillian Rene Decor Colorblock Pillow in Kelly Navy and Natural is $75 at the designer’s site, JR Decor.
Above: The bedding is Ikea’s Ofelia Vass Duvet Cover and Pillowcase set; $29.99 for the twin size at Ikea.
Above: The rug is the Tilst Flatwoven Rug; $34.99 at Ikea.

Hardware

Above: Celia used the Hex Knob in natural brass in the 1.5-inch size as a door pull; $22 each at Schoolhouse.
Above: Celia often travels to Japan for work and collects objects while there, such as the SyuRo Japanese Metal Boxes in brass; $45 to $120 each at Nicethings Guide.
