The 10 Best Drugstore Concealers On The Market Today

I often think back to about ten or fifteen years ago when you could walk into a Walgreens and buy makeup for $1! Prices have definitely changed since then, but the quality and variety of drugstore makeup have come a long way too. Specifically, drugstore concealers have made one of the biggest transformations in my opinion.

These concealers on our list perform on par with many high-end ones and are a fraction of the price. We’ve included some veteran go-to’s as well as a couple of new kids on the block. (I’m seriously showing my age in this post.)

So if you’ve been wondering which concealer is best for covering up your imperfections and brightening up your complexion, wonder no more. Here are the 10 best concealers at the drugstore for you to check out. (Listed in alphabetical order)

1. Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer

Shade range: 30

Price: $7 – $9

To be quite honest, I’ve never been a fan of CoverGirl concealers but I think I’ve had a change of heart with this one. This creamy full coverage concealer is no joke. It’s very opaque and covers up my dark under-eye circles and blemishes entirely. It has a flawless matte finish so if your skin is on the oilier side you might really like it.

2. E.L.F 16HR Camo Concealer

Shade range: 18

Price: $6

For glam looks, I use this creamy concealer in the shade Light Beige to highlight and brighten under my eye and nose bridge area. I’ve never used it for contouring but I think it would work well since it blends very nicely into the skin and has a gorgeous matte finish.

PRO TIP: Concealers can be used to highlight and contour. For highlighting, choose a concealer that’s 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone. For contouring, go with one that’s 2-3 shades deeper than your skin tone. Check out our tutorial on How To Contour And Highlight With Makeup.

3. L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

Shade range: 30

Price: $3.95

This creamy concealer does a great job of masking color imperfections and provides natural looking medium to full coverage that still feels lightweight. Use it to cover up under eye darkness or redness from acne blemishes. And can we just take a moment to appreciate the 30 shade range for a $4 product? Hats off to L.A. Girl!

4. L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer

Shade range: 25

Price: $10.42

This is a newbie in 2019 and is now among my favorite concealers. Although the L’Oreal website claims it has a matte finish, I felt it had more of a natural semi-matte finish which I really appreciate. Fully matte formulas tend to dry out my under eye area. It’s also very opaque and spot conceals blemishes well.

5. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

Shade range: 12

Price: $4.12

Of course the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer had to be on the list! If you’re a follower of the blog and YouTube channel, you know that this concealer has been used in almost every makeup tutorial we’ve done. It’s just an all around amazing lightweight concealer with a natural finish that makes it great for everyday wear.

6. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser Concealer

Shade range: 18

Price: $7.29

I reach for this concealer the most because it’s specifically formulated for dark under eyes and does the best job of covering them up. It provides natural-looking coverage that instantly makes me look well rested. Also, I don’t know what Maybelline’s secret is with the formula, but this is the most crease-resistant drugstore concealer I’ve ever used. It just might take the prize for best concealer on our list!

PRO TIP: For severe dark under eye circles, apply a color corrector before concealer. Choose the right color correcting shade for your skin tone: Pink cancels out dark under eye circles on fair skin tones. Orange cancels out dark under eye circles on medium to deep skin tones.

7. Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer

Shade range: 6

Price: $6.44

What can I say? Maybelline just knows how to do concealers! This is an all-around solid concealer that covers and brightens dark under eye areas. It has a thick consistency that blends easily into the skin and a semi-matte finish that looks very natural.

8. NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer

Shade range: 23

Price: $4.88

This best-selling concealer from NYX covers up dark under eyes and blemishes and gives medium to full coverage that always looks natural. I personally love concealers with natural finishes because with my dry under eye area they don’t crease as much. I should also note that 3 of the shades in this line are for color correcting pigmentation issues like dark under eyes and redness.

9. Revlon Photoready Concealer Stick

Shade range: 6

Price: $8.28

This is the only concealer stick on our list for good reason. It works. The Revlon Photoready Concealer Stick does an amazing job of brightening up the under eye area and concealing spot blemishes. The formula is creamy, very blendable and gives medium to full coverage with a natural finish.

10. Wet N Wild Photofocus Concealer

Shade range: 14

Price: $3.89

The Wet N Wild Photofocus concealer is just as impressive as its foundation counterpart. You get beautiful medium to full coverage for under eyes and blemishes in a lightweight formula that never feels too heavy or cakey on your skin. And at $4 a pop, it’s a steal for sure!
